2003’s Finding Nemo is considered one of the greatest animated movies of all time that’s also a great family film to watch. Now this time we see a sequel but is now focusing on the memory forgetting Dory. Would be kind of irritating to watch Dory carry her own movie? Not in the slightest. Finding Dory goes along with the better-animated sequels that are on a level of heart and humor with it.
Ellen DeGeneres as the voice of Dory is just too brilliant. You literally can’t see anyone else voicing her cause so memorable even back in 13 years ago. The best thing about Dory is that she wasn’t irritating. For a fish who has short-term memory loss, she makes every scene Dory’s in makes it more entertaining.
Like Finding Nemo, the animation especially the scenes where it’s under the sea was great. Also, the side characters shouldn’t be left out. They were great like Marlin (Albert Brooks), Nemo (Hayden Rolence), and Hank, voiced by Ed O’ Neill. Also, like the other great Pixar films, it tugs at the heartstrings and gets emotional. Not as emotional as Inside Out, but it kind of gains close to that. The important messages that were possibly gain from this is to never get family even in the bad situations and you always have to find a home.
Finding Dory was adorable and full of great. One of those rare Pixar sequels that stay cute, funny and just wonderful from beginning to end. “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.”
