*Updated* This now includes the recent winners of the 92nd Academy Awards
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences always does its duties to decide what they consider the absolute best film, performances, or anything technical of each year. Most of the choices they made is a balance between good to what were they thinking. After successfully ranking the Best Pictures winners of the decade, it didn’t hurt to give my own ranking to the other Academy Award categories and the winners that represented them.
This took me like an hour to complete; it wasn’t even hard. I base each ranking of these winners from my favorite to least favorite out of the bunch in quality. Though I will only get through 19 categories, which means I won’t be including Best Foreign Language, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short, Animated Short, and Live-Action Short because I haven’t seen a lot that ended up winning. A large majority of the winners were well-deserving, but there are a few I disagree with. And this isn’t a list where I go in-depth about my rankings; this is just straightforward.
*The checkmarks show I got the winner right in my predictions and the movies in parentheses mean what I originally wanted to win.
